Cream Caramel Drops

I’ve always asked myself how it’s possible to make caramel without sugar. Because caramel is sugar. To be honest, there is no way to make it without sugar, but there still is a solution for a healthier variant. It’s to use alternative sugars. So here I’ll share my experience with you to enjoy candy without having to feel guilty.:-) Of course, they won’t look like these and if they will: respect! But these I once at a store where they have a lot of candy without white sugar, it’s called vivil. Also, the consistency will variate. So there is no guarantee. But therefore a lot of fun and delicious joy.;-) Let’s try it out:

  • 1 TBSP Coconut oil
  • ¾ cup Stevia sugar
  • ¼ cup Cream
  • Salt
  • Vanille flavor

Heat the one TBSP of coconut oil in a saucepan over medium heat until it melts. Add the stevia sugar into the pan. Stir ¼ cup of cream evenly into the agave mixture. Season with a pinch of salt. Then you have to cook the caramel mixture for 10 minutes over medium-high heat, stirring continuously. Just continue to heat your mixture if it is too thin until it reaches the consistency you desire. Pour your caramel mixture into a glass baking dish and set it aside to cool. I’ve experienced that the caramel will continue to thicken as it cools. And then you just have to cut it into pieces. When you go for a harder version of caramel I recommend to cut and separated it before letting cool down. And even tho it doesn’t contains industrial sugar, enjoy it in the right amount!;-)
