Wholemeal Apple Pie’s

What about eating something delicious and healthy, babes? You never can get enough. Right? This recipe is one of the latest I’m absolutely in love with. It won’t take you much time. Except you want to make the dough by yourself. I usually don’t do so but I’ll give you the recipe for it too.;-) For making these pies you usually use puff pastry but I use a wholemeal dough. So will be stuffed, you’ll get you carbohydrates, fibers, and vitamins from the apple and some good fats from the nuts. And also proteins from the buttery puff pastry.;-)

  • Apple
  • Walnuts
  • Cinnamon
  • Wholemeal dough

If you’re making the dough by yourself you’ll need:

  • 150ml Water
  • 250g Whole wheat flour
  • 1 TSP Sea salt
  • 250g Butter

I didn’t add any measurements to the first recipe because you can variate it by yourself and you’ll see what works.;-) Slice the apple in the size and shape you want them. The same with the walnuts. Apply the apple slices and walnuts on the dough add the cinnamon. If you like it sweet just take sweet apples and don’t add sugar! We want to stay healthy!;-)

For the dough: Blend the flour with the sea salt. Add 130ml of the water and start knit it to the dough. Then add the rest of the water and knit it again. Let it rest for 15 minutes in the refrigerator. Take the butter out for applying will be easier. Roll out the dough to a square after you let it rested. Lay the whole butter in slices on the dough. Fold the dough together and roll it out again. Then fold it into a kitchen towel and but it again in the refrigerator. This time let it rest for about ten minutes. Then take it out fold it together and roll it out to the same size then it has had before. Do this about five times. After those five times, the dough should be rather thin. And that’s the time when you can start with laying all your good on the dough.;-)

Thanks for the recipe! They look delicious! I hate nuts, so I would probably not use the walnuts, but I would definitely love to make this myself sometime! Not only does it look delicious, but it’s healthy too. You can’t go wrong with that! 🙂 I followed you and would love if you’d follow me back when you get a chance! <3
