Seealpsee & Ebenalp

Happy Sunday, folks! If you are following me on Instagram you might know from my stories, that I’ve done this trip yesterday. I’ve been buzzy the whole morning and afternoon. That’s why this blog post is so late. But anyway, that’s life. The weather was a little crazy yesterday. The weather forecast said it would be raining all day long. It did rain tho when we were on the train on our way back home. It had rain clouds on the sky all day long but also the sun came out from time to time. I even good sunburned but just on one side, haha. That happened because on my left was the sun and on my right the mountain the whole time. But overall the sky looked a little crazy the whole time as you can see. Me and a good friend of mine I haven’t seen since a long time originally wanted to go on the Säntis which is a great mountain in Appenzell. But up there it has about two meters of snow so that was impossible. So we planned to go to the Seealpsee, which ist the beautiful lake you can see above. The Seealpsee is also in Appenzell. The thinking route up there isn’t really spectacular. So we went another root to the Ebenalp where it has a nice little super swiss Restaurant. From the Ebenalp we went down to the Seealpsee. The route down was closed because of danger. But we took this way anyway. Probably it was closed because the way was covered with snow. So I slighted half way through, haha. Also, the snow was of course melting and big and hard drops hit me from time to time. As we were down by the lake we walked around it. It was so stunning to see how the color of the water changed from different angels. All of a sudden we heard a loud crack. It was water from melted snow that fell down the mountain. It was so amazing to see and to hear. You get so aware of the enormous strength of nature and you feel so little. It was such a beautiful hike with so many beautiful things to see. I absolutely love hiking and I recommend to do it a lot. Especially this hike. As I said you’ll see a lot of beautiful things and this hike is a super easy. I promise it’s not exhausting at all. And doing physical activities in nature clears your mind!;-)<3
