This post is about a little hiking trip on a mountain at the bottom of the highlands with two little, cute and amazing girls. It’s the last thing we really did before I had to go on my flight back to Switzerland the next morning. We went early at about 11 o’clock and were back for a delicious lunch after two hours. And as I have mentioned before I had a lucky time in Scotland weather while. Craig Rossie is very close to Auchterarder and about four hundred meters high. I thought it would be very easy for me as a swiss to climb up this mountain. But I was wrong. I haven’t worked out since a long time and the ways to get up are very steep. Because the mountains are steeper in Switzerland the ways mostly go in a zigzag pattern, which takes you longer but isn’t that steep. And mostly you aren’t able to see the roof of the mountain because it’s hidden after a bit of the mountain. It’s like a hill on a hill on a hill. Which can get very frustrating when you aren’t used to this, haha. The tow young ladies, Niamh and Ilja, were really fast. I guess they had a little competition going on. But the view was amazing. You could look down on Auchterarder and on the other side, you saw into the Highlands. We had a little rest up there, ate something, made cool pictures of the two peas in a pot and the dogs and enjoyed the cooling breeze. The way down was also really nice. Especially because you could constantly have a perfect view. Niamh and Ilja preferred to roll down the mountain, haha. Of course, we came across some sheep… On the way up the girls found some bones of sheep the dogs enjoyed later. So I really had an amazing nature experience. So grateful!
