Flying Essentials

Hey, my wonderful friend!<3 As you know I’m traveling a lot. So I wanted to share with you what’s always on my checklist for my hand bag when I go on a flight. There is nothing less or more I need for the perfect flight… So I hope sharing it with you will make your flights more comfortable!<3 You also can download this post as a checklist for your next flight here.;-)

Phone

Something that every one of us always has with us. Right?! You might have your ticket and flying information on your phone, good music to listen to, games and maybe even something to work on.

Headphones

Also something I assume every one of us has it always with her.

Charger (when you go for a long flight)

For short flights, I never bring a charger. But for long flights where you have a stop in between at another airport, it makes a lot of sense.

Passport

Of course…

Ticket

Jep. Really useful!

Lip Balm

My lips get dry very fast. So…

Hand Cream

I don’t know why but my hands always get very dry when I’m flying.

Cap

When the sun shines too bright or you need to pull it over your head to sleep.

Sunglasses

Over the clouds, there is always sun…

Snacks (Cashewnuts!<3 Fruits etc.)

I’m a foodie and can’t stand out not eating for even one hour, haha.

Water

Always stay hydrated.

Cofee

To stay awake.

Book

Airports and airplanes are good chances to read.

Laptop

Get some work done or watch a movie.

Camera

You never know when something beautiful happens. And when you are a blogger etc. I highly recommend always taking your camera on the plane with you because it gets damaged easily in the suitcase.

Tissues

Growing up as an elder sister this is something I always have with me. You never know when you spill something etc.

Wet Wipes

As I said, I’m an elder sister so I know the advantage of always having such things with me, haha.

Neck Pillow

Sleep.<3

Pencil

You never know when you have to note or sign something. And maybe you fancy doing doodling…

Hoodie

You never know when you get cold. And if you don’t a hoodie is perfect for converting it into a pillow in the plane.<3

Card Games

This is something that just makes sense if you are on a long flight with a friend or family member and you haven’t brought any work with you on the plane. Then it’s super fun to have a little game session in the plane.

Great list of things to pack – snacks are always a good idea, unfortunately, I forget them all too often. Definitely need to go on my list 🙂

I always need snacks and wet wipes. I like to take chewing gum or candy for take off and landing when my ears pop too, and I always need a moisturizer. My skin gets so dry in flight!

I’m headed to Hawaii next weekend so these tips are soo useful. Another great tip is to bring a sheet mask, especially for long flights. Yeah, you might look kinda crazy, but I find that the air on the plane is cold and super drying so sheet masks are an easy way to bring moisture back to the skin.

    You are very welcome, beautiful!<3
    Have fun in Hawaii!
That's true and a very good idea!;-)
Maybe it's also a good solution to take a moisturizing cream with you, you can use for your whole body. So for your face and your hands at the same time. 🙂

I always like to travel makeupless and bring a face mask, airplane air is so drying!

  20. Ellie says:

I never wear makeup anyway, haha…<3

I don’t fly very often, but I did fly twice last month. I made sure I had my phone so I could take photos out of the window, and my iPod was definitely a necessity. Not just for boredom, but I’m an anxious flyer so music kind of had a calming effect on me. I also had my Anti-Anxiety and Calming blends of essential oil inhalers, which I think helped. I didn’t have a panic attack like I did when I flew a few years ago.

Oh, I feel soooo sorry for you!!!
Flying for me is soo much fun. Especially the take-off and landing.<3
And I honestly don't know how frightened it must be when you are so afraid of flying.
I hope you can overcome this fear soon and enjoy your flights too!<3
I wish you all the best and much, much courage for your next flight!<3
    Lots of love, Ellie.
